1938 Coastal Plain League

The 1938 season was the Coastal Plain League's 4th, and 8 teams competed in the league that year. The New Bern Bears won the 1938 Coastal Plain League championship.
Official standings are unequal as Ayden, Goldsboro, Greenville, and Williamson were assigned 41-38 win-loss records on August 3. There were many forfeits due to the constant use of ineligible players. The SABR Minor League Committee opted for accepting the forfeits and standings through July 27 but not the arbitrary assignment of 41-38 records on August 3.
